His Story
Travis Franklin is a genealogist based in Louisville, Kentucky, with roots that run deep and a passion for uncovering stories from the past. His journey into family history started when he was a kid, leafing through old photo albums and rifling through even older papers. What began as a childhood curiosity has grown into a dedicated pursuit-one he is now proud to call his profession.
He is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and had the opportunity to work for the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), where he honed his skills in historical document analysis and client-based research. He is currently working toward additional professional certifications to further stregthen his skills and expand his services.
Known for his thoroughness, storytelling approach, and deep respect for historical context, Travis helps clients explore their ancestry, solve family mysteries, and preserve their legacies. Assisting him in the office is his loyal (and sleepy) feline research assistant, who ensures that no late-night record dive goes unaccompanied.
Travis brings both expertise and empathy to each project, helping people reconnect with the past in ways that are personal, insightful, and lasting.
